BitPay Adds One-Tap Crypto Purchases via Apple Pay and Google Pay
BitPay has launched a streamlined in-app crypto buying feature powered by MoonPay, supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, and SEPA in 100+ countries.
BitPay, the world's longest-operating cryptocurrency payments company, has rolled out a one-tap crypto purchasing experience for eligible BitPay Wallet users, the Atlanta-based firm announced. The new feature is powered by MoonPay and extends to more than 100 countries, significantly broadening access to simplified digital asset acquisition.
The updated checkout flow supports multiple payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, traditional debit and credit cards, and SEPA bank transfers — a widely used European payment network. By consolidating these options into a single streamlined interface, BitPay aims to reduce friction for users who previously faced multi-step purchase processes.

The integration with MoonPay, a well-established crypto payments infrastructure provider, signals a broader industry push toward making cryptocurrency purchases as routine as conventional digital transactions. Embedding familiar consumer payment rails directly into a crypto wallet represents a continued effort to close the gap between mainstream fintech and decentralized finance.
The feature is available to eligible BitPay Wallet users across the supported regions, though the company did not specify which user segments or jurisdictions may face restrictions. As regulatory environments for crypto on-ramps vary considerably by country, availability may differ depending on local compliance requirements.
