LendingTree Q3 2026 Revenue Rises 12% Despite Goodwill Charge
LendingTree posted $343.6M in Q3 2026 revenue across all three segments, but a $98.8M non-cash goodwill charge drove a steep net loss.
LendingTree reported third-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue of $343.6 million, a 12% increase from the same period a year earlier, with growth recorded across all three of the company's business segments, the online lending marketplace said in its earnings release.
Despite the top-line gain, the company recorded a GAAP net loss of $72.4 million, or $5.15 per diluted share. The loss was driven primarily by a $98.8 million non-cash goodwill impairment charge, an accounting writedown that does not affect operating cash flows but signals a reassessment of the carrying value of acquired assets on the balance sheet.

Stripping out the impairment and other non-recurring items, LendingTree's adjusted EBITDA reached $39.6 million for the quarter, offering investors a cleaner view of the company's underlying operational performance. Variable marketing margin, a key metric the company uses to measure revenue after direct marketing costs, came in at $94.9 million.
The revenue acceleration across all three segments suggests broadening demand for LendingTree's marketplace services, even as the company navigates an interest-rate environment that has historically weighed on consumer loan applications. Analysts and investors will likely scrutinize segment-level trends and management's forward guidance for signs of sustained momentum heading into the final quarter of the year.
