Addex Reclaims GABAB Drug Portfolio Rights From Indivior
Addex Therapeutics has regained rights to its GABAB positive allosteric modulator portfolio previously licensed to Indivior.
Addex Therapeutics has recovered full rights to its portfolio of GABAB positive allosteric modulators (PAMs) from Indivior, the Switzerland-based biotech disclosed in a regulatory filing under Art. 53 LR, a Swiss stock exchange ad hoc announcement requirement triggered by price-sensitive information.
The return of the portfolio marks a significant strategic shift for Addex, which had previously licensed the GABAB PAM assets to Indivior, a pharmaceutical company specializing in addiction treatment. The terms under which the rights reverted to Addex were not disclosed in the announcement.

GABAB positive allosteric modulators are a class of compounds that enhance the activity of the GABAB receptor, a target with potential therapeutic applications in areas including addiction, pain, and neurological disorders — overlapping squarely with Indivior's core commercial focus on substance use disorder treatments.
The reacquisition of the portfolio restores Addex's direct control over the development and potential partnering of these assets, allowing the company to independently chart their clinical and commercial path forward.
